Explore 600 choice beers and gourmet bites at new DR.iNK of Fulham
West London has an adventurous new shop selling over 600 different premium bottled beers and delicious
homemade, spiced delicacies. The quirkily named DR.iNK of Fulham opened in May 2010. At this stylish new
beer boutique, the notion of ‘a beer & a bite’ offers enticing new surprises. As well as being a destination for beer
gourmets intent on tracking down the latest brews, there is plenty of inspiration if you are looking for world beers.
Open-tasting days are planned in the coming months, with the chance to sip some out of the ordinary bottles on the
blue quartz bar. Be led into taste temptation with unmissable sips and master brewers dropping in to chat. Look out
for forthcoming events and regular Saturday tastings on www.drinkoffulham.com
DR.iNK [pronounced Drink] of Fulham has been opened by Shrila Amin with the expertise of her cousin Jayesh
Patel – a beer enthusiast who is well known by CAMRA followers for his own beer filled Westholme Stores in
Oxfordshire. However, DR.iNK of Fulham takes the concept of beer shop to a new dimension not only in its airy,
urban styling, but in its aim to satisfy cravings for foodie discoveries too. Browse at leisure, debate the merits of
award-winners, and nibble on warm, melt in your mouth snacks. A nearby sign instructs: ‘Save water, drink beer’.
Luckily an old-world clock hangs as a subtle centerpiece to help you keep an eye on time. But there’s no hurry here.
Beer heaven – Over 600 different beers stand from floor to ceiling, but pile ’em high packs of canned lager are
banished. Instead, bottles are neatly libraried by brewery and line the shelves made from reclaimed, weathered
scaffold boards. British ales, microbrews and overseas craft beers, as well as world lagers, connoisseur choices,
beers matured in spirit casks and gift ideas will keep you browsing. To entice a return, there will be seasonal
specials, limited edition bottlings, and some exclusives to DR.iNK of Fulham.
Gourmet bites - Unexpected temptations will lure foodies. There are freshly made, healthy Gujarati Farsan
vegetarian snacks on sale on Saturdays to take away. More likely, you will want to eat these aromatic morsels as
you linger on the cobbled terrace with its flower decks and tables squeezed in. Party orders are welcome. During the
week, freshly ground spices and prepared pastes are also on sale for making authentic curries at home. These
brimming pots with their jewel colours will inspire plans for an exotic dinner party. Just don’t forget the beers.
Where - DR.iNK stands in a neighbourhood parade flanked by a vintage charity clothes shop and convivial
restaurants and cafés. Street parking a few steps away makes it convenient for loading up the car. If you are
heading for Fulham’s Craven Cottage football ground, a short detour to DR.iNK is a must.
